The Fareway Stores, Inc. warehouse located in Boone, IA is seeking part-time warehouse personnel. Must be willing to work Friday & Sunday evening shifts - some additional hours may be available. These positions may lead to full-time. On-the-job training is provided. Pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check are required.
Operate battery powered pallet trucks and forklifts safely and efficiently in the process of order fulfillment.
Maintain a level of work productivity as established by warehouse management.
Keep work area clear of spills or unsanitary conditions to promote a healthy environment.
Select product for shipment as indicated on order sheets, arrange items efficiently on pallet and stage pallet on loading dock.
Other duties as assigned.

Must be able to climb stairs, bend, kneel, twist, reach and pull frequently
Must be able to lift items in excess of 50 lbs. occasionally, 25 lbs. frequently and 10-20 lbs. continuously
Dry, refrigerated, and freezer warehouses
Refrigerated temperatures range from 28 to 45 degrees. Ambient outside temperatures in the dry warehouse.
All warehouses have a noisy and busy environment; employees must remain alert at all times.
Dry warehouse hours are 5pm-2am Sunday to Thursday and 4pm-1am Friday. Refrigerated warehouse hours are 4pm-1am Sunday through Friday. Freezer warehouse hours are 4pm-1am Sunday to Friday. Produce hours are 7pm-4am Sunday to Friday.
New hires could be selected for dry, refrigerated, freezer or produce crews.
Part-time employees are limited to a maximum of 28 hours per week and must work Sunday and Friday shifts.
This is a year-round position.
Starting wage is $14.63/hr with possible raises every six months after employee review.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
