Customer Service Representative

Job Description

 Express Employment of Ames has partnered with a growing company located in Boone, IA that is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team! The main responsibility will be to perform a variety of Customer Service duties related to the sale of agricultural equipment and products to an established customer base. Ensure customer satisfaction through timely and accurate customer interactions (primarily by phone and email). Contact business customers and assist with sales process and quoting.


Customer Service Representative Requirements:


Part counter sales experience within the agriculture or automotive industries.


Agriculture experience and a high mechanical aptitude preferred.


Ability and willingness to learn


Ability to self-develop utilizing company provided resources and peer relationships


Results/goal/detail oriented


Able to work with limited/no supervision


Ability to work in a team environment


Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to peers


Customer Service Representative Duties:


Receive a high volume of inbound calls, responding in an efficient and effective manner to customer requests and questions regarding technical, large or complex service, products and accounts.


Identify customer needs through a consultative needs analysis; use the results to create a sales order specific to the customer and their account structure.


Troubleshoot and resolve non-routine customer complaints. Resolve major problems with orders, delivery dates or service consistent with established procedures.


Uses computer to access and/or update customer records.


Adhere to customer service policies and procedures to ensure consistent customer service and satisfaction.


Maintain professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the Company in a positive manner.


Liaison between the Company and the customers for up-to-date pricing and service.


Continuously update customers on Company product modifications, changes, and enhancements.


Keep current on new products, procedures, services, and tools by attending departmental training and meetings, as well as monitoring industry news and trends.


Prepare reports for sales and marketing.


Update and maintain customer account records, including contact names and numbers for future needs.


Provide product quotes to customers as needed.


Aggressively follow up on business opportunities in a timely manner.


Perform additional related duties as requested or required.


Customer Service Representative Details:


This client is located in Boone, IA.


Salary is $14-17 per hour based on prior relevant experience.


Monday- Friday work week and day shift hours, possible overtime may be required seasonally.


Some travel will be required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
